Task 8 - Management and reporting
Coordinator: João Tereso
Each task, with its own methods and outputs, refer to a sequential step of the research process: samples are recovered during excavations (TASK 1), zooarchaeological (TASK 2) and archaeobotanical (TASKS 4 and 5) analyses are then performed over those samples, and finally isotopic analyses (TASKS 3 and 6) will be made on these paleobiological remains. In the end an archaeological and historical synthesis will be produced (TASK 7). Data regarding plant and animal remains, frequently coming from the same archaeological site, requires intertwined interpretations. B-Roman is, in its core, a deeply interdisciplinary project. It combines a team of archaeologists, bioarchaeologists and chemists in order to create and manage a vast amount and diversity of data.
Task 8 encompasses the management and reporting structure and will span the duration of the project. Besides fulfilling all organization requirements and legal obligations it will promote the mechanisms that, together with TASK 7, will assure the constant communication between the numerous investigators from distinct disciplines that constitute B-Roman, and the combination of different data and interpretations.
